West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice says following switching allegiance into England in the Republic of Ireland he received threats.
The 20-year-old represented Ireland and also won three mature caps in friendlies – .
“I’ve had people saying they’re going to come into my home,” he told ITV News.
“You click on their profile and they would just be a bogus profileso you don’t know whether it is accurate or not.”
Rice is the newest high profile player to reveal they’ve already been been abused on networking, also England women’s head coach Phil Neville says it should be boycotted by gamers.

“Thinking about it, I was never really scared about it, because constantly fans are going to be giving me abuse and whatnot over it,” he added.
“You just kind of look at it and laugh, you think,’Yeah, all right, as if you’re going to come along and do this sort of thing’.”
Rice’s England team-mate Marcus Rashford was racially abused on social websites after missing a penalty in Manchester United’s defeat by Crystal Palace in August and also has said he worries football is”moving backward”.
Social networking platform Twitter says it had”taken action” on”more than 700 cases of hateful conduct” in the 2 weeks leading up to England’s win against Bulgaria.
Twitter stated it had met”directly influenced” clubs, the Professional Footballers’ Association and Kick it Out in an effort to”handle the matter collectively”.
