Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The last time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson confronted, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many thought Gustafsson could have had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The odds last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close this time speaks to how well he fared in the very first meeting, while also nodding towards just how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Even so, Jones, who has not fought in 17 months, has mostly dominated everybody he’s come across in the Octagon. This fight should take more gas than he’s used to consuming up, but he must pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
