Rugby World Cup 2019: England v Argentina Tips & Preview

Eddie Jones men have negotiated the two matches with relative ease, racking up 2 bonus stage wins from the USA and Tonga.
Englands stingy defence has conceded just once in the last few matches (USAs last-second try) and that looks set to stand them in good stead against the Pumas, whove handed the 20 point mark only twice this year.
Jones appears to get chosen his strongest 23-man squad with Henry Slade Mako Vunipola and Jack Nowell all coming to take their position on the bench — a welcome increase really.
Argentina input the match with just a win in 2019 (the 28-12 victory over Tonga last Saturday) and seem a far cry from your side that made the semi-finals at 2015. Mario Ledesma has really made a massive collection call diminishing fly-half Nicolas Sanchez from their squad for the first time in three decades, opting for Benjamin Urdapilleta at number 10.
Argentinas attack which has appeared so slick over the past few seasons has been fairly blunt in Japan and theyve reverted to their original strengths, together with the forward pack accounting for five of the six attempts — four of those likely to hooker Julian Montoya.
Its worth noting that Englands forward have been effective, scoring five of their 11 tries throughout the initial two games.
Looking at these stats it sounds like Jamie George is somewhat overpriced at 20/1 to score — the Saracens celebrity played against Tonga and awarded the strength of Englands maul game, George could be in prime position to receive his second try of the championship.
My second bet of the game is England to triumph by 11-20 points at 11/4. The Pumas have just lost by over 10 points after since the beginning of the year (a 46-13 loss to South Africa). Their past four results against England have observed them lose by 13-10-4-13, together with these two centre defeats coming against a second string side.
Englands bench is the most powerful weve seen from some other side in the championship and while I expect a tussle, thosefinishers could come on to produce all of the difference and facilitate them away in the Pumas late on.
