Veracious on course for Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket

Veracious is Obviously to Come Back from a midsummer break in the next month's Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Having opened her accounts at Group One level on her final start in the Falmouth Stakes in July, the daughter of Frankel will likely bid to follow up by providing coach Sir Michael Stoute a fifth victory in the mile competition, after finishing the area 12 weeks ago.
Though not sighted for more than two months, the Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old is reported for her intended recovery on October 5 in order.
Cheveley Park Stud managing director Chris Richardson said:"Veracious is heading into the Sun Chariot, all being well.
"She has been fine, and Sir Michael Stoute just wanted to freshen her up and let her come into it in her own time.
"We are extremely satisfied with her, and that she worked well on Saturday. Being well, the purpose is to allow her cruise to the race today."
Veracious' prospects staying outside her start looking increasing likely along with her owners seeming keen to keep her in training next season.
Richardson added:"I believe Mr and Mrs Thompson are still thinking of hurrying on with Veracious next calendar year.
"That is one reason why she has not yet been rushed. They have taken the view she will be staying in training a year ago."
Conditions that are provided are suitable, stablemate Regal Truth is going to be extended a third try at Group 1 level at the Qipco Champion Stakes - having finished fifth in the month's Juddmonte International at York.
Richardson added:"I believe we're probably looking towards the Champion Stakes with Regal Truth. He missed the break in York, and I understand they have been working hard in getting him far from the gate easier.
"He does not need soft ground, therefore we might need to keep an eye on that. I think he is a sophisticated horse and he is another that will stay in training ."
