We have attained the phase of only one player that was seeded and the championship remains for first time in World Grand Prix history! That is seed is none besides Michael Van Gerwen and that he has to really fancy his odds. Nathan Aspinall continues to impress, but he never knows if hes beaten. His match against Chizzy tonight needs to be electrical but Im struggling to find an angle for this from a betting point of view. Glenn Durrant beat Peter Wright is deservedly beaten by Rob Cross in Jermaine Wattimena along with a thriller. They play with with each other and Id anticipate this one to be come through by Durrant but he is too short for me personally to have a bet on. I think the two games offer betting propositions.
To kick off the day weve got Ian White v Chris Dobey. Gary Anderson around was stunned by dobey and he was outplayed by him. I can see him putting in a similar display this evening. Wade was away from his best and was bad although white conquer at Wade round. Dobey is a fairly major price to win but given the unpredictably of the format and Ian Whites skill I believe Dobey +1.5 places is your bet. 26/25 is generous given two nights 11, he performed! Great, if he wins, but I could see it being tight and also the handicap landing.
My second selection comes from game of the evening. Michael Van Gerwen was incredible against Jeffrey De Zwaan. He faces Mervyn King tonight that has played very well up to now. I cant see him beating MVG tonight although his scoring was impressive. He may get one place on the board, and I think Michael Van Gerwen to acquire 3-1 is a wonderful cost at 12/5. He wants to miss a few chances and michael is not immune to missing a number of darts and King should capitalise. I expect Van Gerwen to acquire this comfortably but may see some set being nicked by King.
