Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson confronted, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson might’ve had him, the judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The odds last time around, however, were more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close this time speaks to how well he cried in the very first meeting, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Even so, Jones, who hasn’t fought in 17 weeks, has largely dominated everybody he has come around in the Octagon. This fight should take more gasoline than he’s used to consuming up, but he should pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
