High hopes for Sands Of Mali on Champions Day

Richard Fahey is hopeful Sands will return to his summit this month, to defend his crown at the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot.
Sands posted a career best performance to spring up a 28-1 surprise in the Group One fall at Harry Angels primary cost.
The Panis colt has shown nothing like that form in his three races this season in Hamilton, Meydan and Royal Ascot, however, Fahey considers his star sprinter is coming to his very best.
