Sunderland have verified Bolton and Bradford manager Phil Parkinson because of their new manager to get a bargain until 2022.
Jack Ross, that had been sacked by the Black Cats on 8 October after winning five of the first 11 League One matches this term is replaced by Even the 51-year-old.
Parkinson spent in charge of Bolton, winning promotion to the Championship in his first season.
He resigned as manager with Wanderers bottom after being substituted 12 points of the next grade.
It is both a privilege and massive obligation to be appointed manager of the fantastic club, Parkinson said.
