Since England U21s started their Euro 2021 qualifying campaign with a 3-2 success in 20, eddie Nketiah scored two goals.
Frustration was suffered by aidy Boothroyd’s team since they were knocked out of the Championship from the group stages and it seemed like that feeling could endure on Friday night.
Six members of the squad for the qualifiers of this month have played for the Young Lions – Nketiah one of them.
The striker put England ahead , although the game turned round, Reiss and Nketiah Nelson struck to secure the win.
England started well and went ahead after just four minutes following a good move between Steven Sessegnon and then Phil Foden down the left side of the playground; Foden’s low cross was missed by two Turkish defenders letting Nketiah to stab the ball home from seven yards out.
Nelson had an opportunity to score of the teams went into the level after Dogukan Sinik scored after 25 minutes and raced clear.
England made a slow start to the second half and they paid the price six minutes after the restart. A corner saw Mert Muldur eliminate his mark and his rush to the post saw him flick the ball beyond Aaron Ramsdale.
But, the match turned . Foden was the architect darting goalwards before threading a pass in the penalty area only to Nketiah and on loan at Leeds, provided a finish.
Immediately after, Nelson netted what proved to be the winning goal with a shot that may have taken a deflection off a defender that was Turkish.
