Veracious on course for Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket

Veracious is to return out of a midsummer Fracture in next month Kingdom.

Having opened her account at Group One level onto her last start at the Falmouth Stakes in July, the daughter of Frankel will bid to follow up by giving coach Sir Michael Stoute a fifth success in the mile contest, after finishing down the area 12 weeks past.
Though not sighted for two or more weeks, the Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old is reported in arrangement.
Cheveley Park Stud managing director Chris Richardson said:”Veracious is heading into the Sun Chariot, all being well.
“She has been nice, and Sir Michael Stoute just wanted to freshen her up and let her come into it at her own time.
“We are very pleased with her, and that she worked nicely on Saturday. Being well, the purpose is to let her cruise to the race now.”
Veracious’ prospects staying in coaching beyond her start looking increasing along with her owners seeming keen to keep her in training next season.
Richardson added:”I believe Mr and Mrs Thompson are considering racing with Veracious next year.
“This is only one reason why she hasn’t been rushed. They have very much taken the opinion will be remaining in training a year ago.”
Provided conditions are suitable, stablemate Regal Reality will be supplied a third attempt at Group 1 level at the Qipco Champion Stakes on October 19 – with finished fifth in last month’s Juddmonte International.
Richardson added:”I believe we are likely looking towards the Champion Stakes with Regal Truth. He missed the break in York, and I know they have been working hard in obtaining him way out of the gate simpler.
“He doesn’t need soft ground, thus we might have to keep a watch out for that. I believe he’s a horse and he’s another that will stay in training next year.”
