Veracious on course for Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket

Veracious is to Come Back from a midsummer Fracture in the next month Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

Having opened her accounts at Group One level in her final start in the Falmouth Stakes in July, the daughter of Frankel will bid to followup by providing coach Sir Michael Stoute a fifth victory in the mile competition, after finishing the field 12 weeks past.
The Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old is reported in great order, although not sighted for more than two weeks.
Cheveley Park Stud managing director Chris Richardson said:”Veracious is heading into the Sun Chariot, all being well.
“She’s been fine, and Sir Michael Stoute merely wanted to freshen up her and let her encounter it in her own time.
“We are very happy with her, and that she functioned well on Saturday. Being well, the aim is to let her cruise to the race today.”
Veracious’ prospects remaining in training outside her start looking increasing along with her owners seeming keen to maintain her in training next season.
Richardson added:”I think Mr and Mrs Thompson are considering rushing with Veracious next calendar year.
“This is one reason why she hasn’t yet been rushed. They’ve very much taken the opinion will be remaining in training next year.”
Offered conditions are suitable, stablemate Regal Truth is going to be given a third effort at Group 1 level at the Qipco Champion Stakes on October 19 – having finished fifth in the month Juddmonte International.
Richardson added:”I believe we are probably looking towards the Champion Stakes with Regal Truth. He missed the rest and I understand they’ve been working hard in obtaining him simpler.
“He does not need soft earth, so we might have to keep a watch out for that. I think he’s a progressive horse and he’s another that will stay in training next year.”
